We are halfway done with our year!
How did that happen?
If the last half goes as lovely as the first half, we are in for some smooth sailing!
On Monday we took a break from the beach and learned about Dr. Martin Luther King's message of peace and fairness.
We did this classic "experiment":
The kids chose the shiny bag. Inside was.....cat food! Surprise!
The plain bag had M&Ms. We did share those after the kiddos could say the lesson learned: "it's what's on the inside that matters!" Our hearts, our character...not the color of our skin...is what is important!
The kids created these lovely happy communities of different colored people like in the book
The Land Of Many Colors!
Tuesday was our COLD day off!
This hallway photo of our
Chicka Chicka Boom Boom

Ms. Harcey helped with these cutie watercolor sea animal projects:
Okay, we've been trying for nearly a week to free the coconut from it's large "shell"...
Success!!!!
The crowd went wild!
We did not crack the actual coconut open though as it is...wait for it....20 YEARS OLD! At least!
I'm not sure what we'd find (or smell!)
We've really been into solving 100 piece puzzles.
