Took my "little sheepdogs" to be groomed on Thursday night....
 Before....

After!
Wow there really were two little dogs under all that fur!

Wondering why there are not many pictures of our weekend?
Cuz all we did is move, haul, clean, rearrange, unload, pack John's Dad and my Aunt Laine ...
two separate moves in two different cities...
We are seeing progress here with Grandpa moving in.
Just have a dining room full of craft supplies to deal with.
And a shop packed with stuff,
And an upstairs crammed with stuff,
And our guest bedroom full of stuff'....ughhhh!
But the good news is, Grandpa is feeling a bit better, he is definitely stronger.
And he is wanting central air here...yes!!!!
Never thought I'd see the day.
We are also needing to "redo" the bathroom to make it more accessible for him.
So I am focusing on the good changes to get us through this tough time.
Just keep smiling!

Here are two nice changes already....
The screen door is finally on the back door
and a railing installed so Grandpa can
get out of the house eventually!
Thank you, Doug Moe!
We'll be seeing more of you in the months to come!

EIEIO!

What a busy busy week!

We began our week by making bread ...
Wish we could capture the aroma to share with you !

Oh, BEAUTIFUL!

 Tuesday was our HOE DOWN
See how cute we are all dressed up?
 Mrs. Kalmes' Kids...

 Mrs. Pilger's Kids....

And us!

We made butter with Mrs. Pilger...
See us shaking shaking shaking the heavy cream?

Ta Da! We've got butter, folks!

Then we made ice cream with Mrs. Kalmes....

We learned that it takes a LONG time to make ice cream!!!

Then we met outside to enjoy all of our farm fresh food!

Wonderful Wednesday Farm Day:

Purple Cow Thursday!

I never saw a purple cow,
I never hope to see one.
But I can tell you anyhow,
I'd rather see
than be one!

by Ogden Nash

Our Purple Cows are made with grape juice and ice cream....MMMMM

We also had Learning Stations on Thursday...

At Mr. C's area, we practicied AIMSWEB in a very fun
dice game...

And then we got to dig for letters in the corn!

At Chris's table we added dots on goats
and then added one/subtracted one with eggs...

My station was searching for and writing about farm animals!

The BRAIN BREAK station was farm animals and playdough!
