On Monday, Mr.Riebel came to read us a funny book called

Thus joyous kiddo brought Jello for our Jj treat!
These chefs are peeling (and eating) the apples to be used later in the day. Everyone got a chance to peel and chop!

Before we peeled and chopped and cooked, we used our apple to create some pretty nifty graphs as we sorted by color and...

Tuesday's centers included the apple tasting table...

Another station was "I Spy Apple Orchard"...
And bobbing for apple numbers...
And one to one counting with apple trees play dough...
We made a graph in group time showing what color of apples we all brought in...
Then the kids created their own version to take home to share.
We had a blast reading Dr.Suess' 10 Apples Up On Top!

Wednesday brought new morning challenges:

This kind kiddo brought Krispy treats for Kk day!

Wednesday afternoon we prepared a cute Cardinal for the parade on Friday!
Our friendly and kind superintendent, Ms.Jen, came to share with us what her job is at our school. We found out some pretty cool things about her: she lives in Chatfield, she's a mom to 3 boys, her job is to keep us safe (she calls it in when we have a show day! ), and she pays the bills for the school so we can have nice buses and toys and happy teachers.
We also took a little time to describe apples by using our 5 Senses...

The Pumpkin Family Project
can be sent in as soon as you can get some family members together to work on it.
Usually within a week they are really starting to roll in.
PLEASE REMEMBER THIS IS A FAMILY PROJECT and your k kid should not do it alone. Thanks!
The BOOK IT recording sheet is due at the end of the month but you can send it in as soon as it is full.
This one is voluntary and not required but certainly tasty fun!
