2022 Week 38 The End!

 We DID IT!!!

Kindergarten during a pandemic (that is hopefully winding down) sure had its challenges and I could not have done this without you!!!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Can you believe how quickly the year went by?

Here they are,  so proud, so eager and so ready to move on,  but they were still mine for just a little bit more this week.
I cherished every moment with them.   I might have even cried a little during a goodbye book!

We learned the word 'bittersweet'... sigh...
it's so hard to let go.

So without further ado,
here they are,
the Kindergarten Class of 2022!

We also went to the fire station this week!
What a treat!

We divided into 3 groups so I did not get a shot of everyone using the fire hose.

We also learned about TANGRAMS this last week!

Thank you again from the bottom of my heart!

2022 Week 37 Animals, Clocks, and Graduation Portaits!

Knocking down the days until Summer!

Page down for more info on our BOWLING station!

Four days of Kindergarten left!

Seriously, this year flew by!

Aren't these self portraits amazing? And bittersweet?

Most years I find myself waxing nostalgic over the year's kindergarten class.   This year is no exception. These kids have proven to be kind and intelligent, caring and hard working, super affectionate and creative.  I just love them!  I know in my heart they are ready for 1st grade but I sure will miss them!

Silly Sock Day day was super fun!

Tuesday's centers included Big Numbers plus 1 with Grayson's mom!

Tallying giraffe dots with Mrs. Flathers...

Counting by 2s with zebras...

Subtracting peanuts with Mrs. Sauers...

Kangaroo syllables with me!

Our magnet station is "attracting" and lot of attention!

So is the animal station with many sorting activities...

And our final discovery table came full circle and we're back to the buttons!

We've been learning about clocks and time!

The Pizza Parlor is still running strong with many pizzas being ordered and made daily!

Wednesday was tent day for letter Tt. We created these super fun tents to play under but more importantly they were all set for Thursday's Uu day... working UUUUUnder the table day!

This was just soooo much fun!

Thursday's centers included:
(Our very last centers of 2021-2022)
Animal fun playdough...

Magnet sight word and numeral review...

Pokey Pin Summer edition...

Animal stamps...

Bowling! (Really putting to use ways to make ten!)

We've been trying to get outside for Milk Break this month. The kids are always asking for selfies.... so here's a few with their teacher!

I told you, I really really love this class!

And now for the week of June 6-9:

We are reviewing all skills and working on report cards.

We are revisiting Pete the Cat books just for fun!

Tangrams, Kings and Queens of Kindergarten, and the Fire Station are our themes!

ABC Countdown:

Monday: Ww Water fun! (Mrs. Pilger and I have a planning day so there will be a sub.  If she is okay with this little bit of joyous chaos then they will have this time.  If not, I will try to pop in, or we will make it up on Tuesday...staying flexible!)

Tuesday: Xx for eXchange autographs for our Memory Books

Wednesday: Yy Yes we have a Concert at 9:00 and we will reread YES DAY!

I would like to invite you back to our room after the concert to pick up your child's end of the year items.
