Welcome to the Farm!
This week and (into next) we learned all about farms and farm animals.
I love how our art projects decorate the room!
On Thursday
(yes, these are out of order again)
We made bread right here in our classroom!
Oh, the aroma!!!!
We also took turns shaking a jar of heavy whipping cream to make homemade butter! It is so so so good!
It took four picture books and 20 minutes to create this yummy, creamy treat~
Each time I turned a page it was the next kiddo's turn to
Shake shake shake
. We discovered it was a lot of work! But so worth it!
We are still learning about 3D shapes.
Get a load of that big old sphere!
Every Spring we get the chalk out.
Wowza! These kiddos take playing school to new heights!
We have so many new(new to them!) farm toys to play with at choice time!
The Littlest Pet Shop toys are a hit, too!
Social Studies had us brushing up on our globe awareness...
Friday's Science lesson is all about the Earth's materials:
Air Water Land
Not only did we bake (and EAT!) bread and butter this week but we also made PURPLE COWS!
Purple Cows are simply grape juice and ice cream!
It sounds strange but it is DELICIOUS!
We created these cows on Monday after learning soooo many cow facts!
The Pet Bulletin Board is coming along.
It's not too late as this will be up all through next week.
I has at the pain management clinic Tuesday afternoon
(yay to cortisone shots!!!)
so I did not get photos of centers.
Ms. S and Mrs. Olson (our substitute teacher) did a great job filling in.

Writing about Farm Stickers with Mrs. Flathers....
And Farm Play Dough with Ms. Martinez!
