2022 Week 36 Turtles and Frogs and Money!

We have tadpoles! 

 

Plus we are having so much fun with frogs and turtles at the pond this week!

These guided drawing frogs are soooooo cute!

So much good fine motor happens at the painting station!

During Morning Meeting we still play lots of whole group games.  These activities are good for practicing our patience as well as Math and/or Reading skills!

On Monday we had our Reading/ Language Arts Lesson outside...

We've also been using the big rolls of paper!  What fun!

We have also opened the money station!  

On Monday we created these adorable turtles...

Here are more tadpole pictures.  Sadly the water turned sour and we lost most of the little fellas.

We are down to 4... just 4... but they are looking healthy as can be!

2022 Week 35 Bugs and Pond Animals and Fun with Measurement!

 We are really enjoying the ABC Countdown!

On Monday we had Icees outside for letter Ii!

 What fun! 

Our Math unit is about measuring!  We've been measuring length, width, capacity, and weight! 

We've also been learning about Magic E!

On Monday we created a very hungry caterpillar and wrote about the food it ate! 

The kids have still been enjoying the dominoes we used on Dd day! 

Tuesday's centers included:

Oh we have big bug puzzles...

During group time we did a little sorting by weight...

On letter Kk day we focused on kindness...

we shared acts of kindness we DID and acts of kindness we have WITNESSED! Each of these acts got a heart in the hallway.  Believe me, we ran out of hearts before we ran out of people who were kind! 

On Ll day we played a lego game whole group...

For Thursday's centers we measured weight...

We worked with Magic E...

We played the lego game in small groups...

And we had more bug playdough...

We also collected data and created a bug graph...

We put up a new frog table...

We made these pond lillies on Wednesday as we began our POND unit! 

And we have a pond! 

 

We also have a pond learning station that is much drier than the discovery table! Haha!
