2022 Week 4 and 5 Apples, Leaves, and a Wedding and a Death (sounds like a movie!)

Words cannot express how magical and joyous our daughter's wedding weekend was! Hurricanes, Death, and Cancellation of my Sub could not stop us!

Everything worked out just fine...2 family members flew out and/or drove out of Florida ahead of the storms, my dad who was actively dying passed on Tuesday night, and a NEW sub who wants to be a kindergarten teacher picked up our class!!! Whew!

I have a ton of photos on my facebook and Instagram page if you are interested, look me up!

Here are my top 4 photos...

(not really, they are the first 4 I LOVED then I stopped looking or there would be 100 posted here, haha!)

I made these people!!!
(well, not my hubby on the left!)

The sad news is my step-dad (really more of a dad) passed away Tuesday before the wedding after 5 looooong months in hospice care in their home.
I will be missing one more day for his memorial on October 14.

Yay! Centers!
I've had to rearrange our schedule to accommodate the lack of paraprofessional staff
(we just lost another one to a different district)
So at this time we are having centers on Wednesdays only.
Sigh.

Anyway,  centers!!!!
This week we stamped and counted...

We listened for beginning sounds...

We played with PlayDough and leaves....

We made stacks to match numbers....

And we matched uppercase to lowercase letters...

Our ABC book is coming along nicely...

Thank you for sending in these creative 5 senses about apples!

These kids make me smile! I shared some of the wedding fun with them and they thought it was Christmas! I love to share with such fun and grateful children!

In science we looked at animals as they change and grow.
Be looking for the Baby Face Lucky Duck book that shows us as we change and grow!

We made these cute cardinals to take to the parade! What fun!

During apple week we made and ate applesauce and dried apples! It smelled so good in here!

Our apple unit was fun and delicious!

On Thursday we learned about owls and created these cute and complicated owls!

Our leader gets to keep our morning message and this leader was super happy!

The pumpkin family projects are rolling in! If you need another (there was a mix up while iv was gone?) please just zip me a note.

Ohhhh... don't our owls look fabulous!!!!

The kids earned a popcorn party due winning our ABC game! It was movie theater popcorn... the last bag from the wedding and it was still delicious!!!
