2026 Week 23 America The Beautiful!

Hi! Here's a quick check in on what's happening in my crazy life...

I went from the sunny Atlantic Ocean to my favorite body of water,  Lake Superior, in one week!

A few years ago,  my hubby gifted me a set of 6ml neoprene chest waders.  I love to put them to use playing in the ice cold water in February! No, I wasn't warm,  but neither did I die of hypothermia in the hour+ I was in the water at Burlington Bay. See my social accounts for more crazy fun chasing mini icebergs!  Yep,  that's me way out there!
This week was our American The Beautiful theme!
We learned about many American symbols including the bald eagle:

The states:
(we completed this large puzzle together!)
The Statue of Liberty:

We hope you enjoy the lovely picture frame the kiddos made for you!

We took a good long look at the Pledge!
Yep, this one is on the report card.
Keep working on it at home.
We recite it at least weekly.

These American hearts make me smile!

Here are a few learning stations around the room!

2026 Week 22 Valentines and 100 Day!

What a lovely time I had in Florida/Georgia with my son and his beautiful family!

We were on a literal treasure hunt for orbs hidden on Jekyll Island! We didn't find any free ones but did buy 3 small ones from the Visitor Center!

I am one lucky lady!

Ms.Mohs and Ms. Olson reported that the kids did a great job while they were in charge!

Here are a few lessons they tackled together:

What makes heat and light?

And decorating our Valentines Tubs!

Here is one of our 100 day stations, what would you buy with $100?

On Tuesday we had 10, yes 10!!!!, independent stations to choose from as we celebrated the 100th day of school:

Writing 100 zeros to make a googal...
Stacking 100 cups...

Writing 100 zeros to make a googal...

More cups (this was a popular one!)

Taking 100 steps in the hallway to see how far we got...
100 licks on a lollipop...
100 dots on a Dalmatian...
100 dots (10 sets of 10)
100 squares...
100 gumballs..

The following photos are us enjoying the 100 Day centers in no particular order!

We read a fun 100 Day book called The Wolf's Chicken Soup.  The surprise ending is the wolf befriends 100 chicks!
We searched for 100 chicks hidden around the room, then placed them in our 100 chart.

This lucky fellow found Chick #100!

It was waaaaay up there!

Here are our 100 day celebrants!!!!

Thank you for sending in 100 pieces of little food to create our 100 Day Gorp! Yum!

We hope you enjoy our 100 day magnet!

This was our LAST 100 days of Kindness heart to fill in!
Wow!  This group is good at finding/doing acts of kindness!

Happy 100 Day breakfast!

Not only was Tuesday the 100th day of K but our room was also decorated for my birthday! There were sparkles even in the refrigerator!

The Family Projects are beautiful!
