First of all,
I want you to know how thankful I am for YOU!
These kiddos this year are eager, ready learners who make me smile on a daily basis!
We laughed so hard one day last week, my sides hurt!
Thanks for being awesome parents who return homework promptly! Not a fun part of raising kids, I know (6 kids remember!) but you are all doing such a thorough job!
THANK YOU!!!!
I am grateful every day for working here in such a caring district in such a lovely little town!
During this short week we had many fun and educational opportunities!
Monday's morning challenges were:
Beginning sound match...
Star word whipped cream words...
Healthy foods and food groups...
We had a nice mini lesson on long ago and today... comparing and contrasting
We made these adorable little turkeys with the fingers of my hubby's work gloves...shhhh, he'll never know!
We filled our plates with pie! Six pieces total for us to divide up between 2 kinds ...4 apple +2 pumpkin? 1 kiwi+5 cherry? The ideas were endless!
We also decorated our turkeys with 5 feathers and wrote the math story for those as well.
These kiddos filled our cornucopia at choice time! Fun!
Miss Brittany, a former kindergartener from Lewiston now an education major at WSU, came to help us out all day Tuesday! Here she is helping us with a grateful journal.
We also practiced manners with "yes, please and no, thank you" lucky duck book. These kiddos are picking out food pictures for each category.
Tuesday's centers included:
Turkey stuffing... using tongs to grab pompoms and count them out!
Turkey what comes next dice roll...
Pumpkin pie whipped cream scoops... another teen counting and recognition station
And turkey number words...
We made these lovely turkey hand print poems for you!
The turkey disguise projects turned out so clever and creative... thank you for doing these with your k kid!
