Here's some shots from this Halloween week! I just love this time of year!
On Monday we read a book called Ghost Lunch. We talked a lot more about fiction and non fiction.
We journaled about what a ghost would look like if he ate certain foods. Then we had a little spooky bit of probability with a happy/ sad ghost.
We had permission to stand on our chairs to flip the ghost up. What spooky fun!
We also created this cutie pie Halloween cats!
Our Halloween bags are all ready to go!
Here's a pile of bonuses the kids can choose to do after they've finished their by independent seat work in the morning!

And here's a big thank you to everyone who sent in treats, purchased/ made items for our classroom, and/ or volunteered to help us with our Halloween party! You all made such nice memories with you're family!
Here's Tuesdays morning message....
This beautiful bat research projects was a three day process! First we read about bats, then we collected fun facts, and finally we made the moon (blowing painty soap bubbles onto a circle) to put it all together!
Yes, we did this...Grow a brain mad scientist experiment! It actuary doubled in size!
If you've a 4th grader or a high school kid, you might know about Taste of Cardinal County. Those kids perform for the community, surrounded by artwork from the elementary. The theme was IMAGINE:Love, Peace, and Kindness. Here's ours...

Finally the afternoon arrived and with our Halloween party!
We had 4 stations to cycle through... pin the face on the pumpkin, skeleton hand painting, mask making, and Halloween playdo!

Wednesday afternoon was a busy one! Ms.G helped us with creating these beautiful Indian corns to share with you.
Mrs. Benke worked with us on the concept of ways to make 10 with candy corn stickers...
My table was painting a very messy scarecrow!
We are using our reading skills to describe this scarecrow.
We worked together to build a life sized scarecrow!
