My hubby and I took another semi impromptu trip to Lake Superior to show Flat Stanley (a school project for our granddaughter in Indianapolis, your kiddo will do one next year as well! )around Duluth and Finland and nearly to the Canadian border! We backpacked 6 miles on the Superior Hiking trail, we took a site seeing tour through Duluth including Canal Park and the lift bridge and Bentleyville, we visited several iconic state parks including Gooseberry and Split Rock, we looked for moose in the Superior National Forest north of Finland, and finally picked for agates and sea glass in Burlington Bay near Two Harbors. Whew, I wonder if Flat Stanley was as wiped out as me!
