2019 Week 25 Review all star words, Addition, Dr.Seuss!

Last Friday was a kick off to
Read Across America in honor of Dr. Seuss's birthday,
the drama department from Winona State performed a fantastic play, The Last of the Dragons!
The Dragon was an alumni of Lewiston Elementary School!
Thank you,  Players!

My kiddos at home helped create these "green egg and ham" candy treats for the k kids....mmmmm!
Monday brought us new morning challenges:
Dr.Seuss sentence unscramble...

Dr.Seuss counting by 2s...

Dr.Seuss ABC order...
(Just for fun!)

Here's one of the creative Dr.Seuss creatures the kids finished!
Ms. Harden has been busy teaching the kids about nouns and verbs!
Her lessons have been fun and educational!

Monday afternoon we created these
cutie patootie Cat in The Hats!
We practiced writing our first,  middle,  and last names!

Apologies in advance if the middle names are not spelled correctly as I do not have a listing with their middle names.
One year we even had the WRONG middle name, it was just wishful thinking on the kid's part! HAHAHA!

Tuesday we created these adorable
Wockets for our Pockets!
(Or socks if we had no pockets)

Speaking of Dr.Seuss here's a few photos of the Dr. Seuss station

I love sharing these snapshots of our k kids choosing to read!
But also making time to play!
Our dramatic play area has been changed into a birthday party !
Happy birthday,  Dr.Seuss!

We've also unpacked some of the transportation toys for our upcoming transportation unit.
This is the skate park...

Tuesday's centers included:
Making our own green eggs and ham candies!
The k kids assembled all the ingredients,  added melted almond bark,  and topped then with M&Ms!
One needed to be green,  the other was their choice... what delicious fun!

Ms. Harden had another sink or float science experiment but this time with OOBLECK!

We created our own Dr.Seuss creation with playdough and whole bunches of supplies!

Ms. Walrich helped the kids with our very first
WRITE THE ROOM!
The kids had to find words around the room that began with the letters in HAPPY BIRTHDAY DR.SEUSS!

This station was READ the ROOM
Thing 1 and Thing 2 Style
Counting by 2s!

All the kids, including the teachers, had to pose with an item for an upcoming Lucky Duck book...stay tuned for details!

We had cookies for milk break to
celebrate Dr.Seuss' birthday!
 Happy 115th Birthday!
 Good Reads this week!
There's been lots of great review on Ms. Harden's morning messages...
On Wednesday we created these adorable
Dr.Seuss hats and bow ties!  So cute!
