Yep, we studied WORMS and MUD this week!
Best week ever!!!
For centers on Wednesday one of our stations was "dirt cups"... the kids put together pudding, gummy worms, Oreos, and sprinkles for a snack! Yummy!
Station 2 was brown kinetic sand for making mud pies! Many of the k kids went home with corn starch powdery residue on their clothes. Sorry about that! But it sure was fun!
Our 3rd station was creating 2 digit numbers with Grandma Vicky...
The 4th was Wiggly Worm Words...
And our final station was numeric order...
This was one tough 100 piece puzzle!
The kids did it!
This is a super cute poem from YouTube... search for Stuck in the Mud"
or click here: Mud Poem
The kids have been writing about worms...
opinions and facts!
Mind you, this is a CHOICE time activity!
Win!
We've loads of worm books at the Worm Station!
And real Worms!!!!
Plus some fun fake ones!
The family projects are looking beautiful! There's still time to send your family's in yet if you haven't.
We generated these great WORM facts with a handy CAN HAVE ARE chart!
We've a Chick and Egg learning station ready to go! One of the favorite activities it to balance this fun set of chickies!
And just when you didn't think it would get any better...MUD!!!!
We illustrated a cute book USING mud...
We used the same mud to illustrate a lucky duck book called
MUD EVERYWHERE!
This is how this little guy looked after literacy... we practiced our sight words by writing in "mud", well the mud was chocolate pudding!
That's just too much fun!!!
Our Math topic is 3D Shapes:
Cone Cube Cylinder Sphere are the main ones
Here is our fun poem about these shapes...
