Wow! What a FANTASTIC WEEK!
We began our Read-Across-America Week with Green Eggs and Ham created by my teenagers!
It is kind of a family tradition. Plus they get the extras!
(p.s. Not real eggs: Pretzels, white chocolate, and m&ms)

Kristin, Kayden's mom and Annette.
Both work at the High School.

Monday was also the day kids brought in their
POTATO Storybook Character for the contest in the library!
These were AWESOME!
We also created a Cat in the Hat for the hallway using shapes....cute fun!
Monday afternoon we put all of our Cat in the Hat drawing skills to one final test....guided drawing and painting!
WE ARE AMAZING ARTISTS!
Tuesday's centers included:
Thing1 and Thing2 Clear the Board (an addition game)
Read the Room Thing1 and Thing2 Counting by 2s...

Much of our seat work this week was Dr.Seuss themed which involved some crazy things...These kids are taking a Math test ON THE FLOOR!!! Wacky Wednesday!
The Shamrocks are rolling in...ADORABLE!
One of my favorite activities is to actually GRAPH all the Dr. Seuss books your child brought in!
This year Dr.Seuss's ABC Book won!
We focused on creating our OWN silly Dr. Seuss creature this week! Look for several Lucky Duck books soon!

We began Friday with these delicious cupcakes made by many staff here at Lewiston-Altura.
There was one for everyone in the entire school!

Even with the weather predicted to warm up, the kids still need snow pants and boots until the snow and subsequent MUD is gone (maybe May? Just kidding!)
We will let you know when the playground supervisors give us the go ahead to leave these items at home.
