Week 15 Letter Aa, short and long a sound, reindeer, and Holiday themes!

Well, you just can't keep us off Lake Superior!
We headed up for an impromptu weekend.
And because it was off season we actually stayed at a lodge!  Yay!
Long story short we backpacked only 12 miles in two days
(days are short especially when you have a warm bed and NOT the truck to sleep in!)
We walked down from the hill over Duluth to do our very first urban hike... right through America's largest free Holiday Light Show, along the shore, and up to the Rose Garden.
The next day we were in the wilderness again and took a quick hike to Silver Creek.
Most of the trail was a muddy creek!
So we went INTO Lake Superior to wash off our boots!  In December!  Crazy!

Love that place!
