2019 Week 22 100 (94) day celebration, measurement, Valentines

Surprise!   I had a birthday weekend very near the Canadian border in my favorite lodge,  Naniboujou! It's right off Highway 61 on Lake Superior.

 We snow shoed , "ice cleated", hiked in the snowy FAR north woods!   We even had a picnic? 

 There's a bench under there somewhere!

 The ice was on the Lake!  We haven't seen that in 5 years!

 

 This is right on the Canadian border,  Pigeon Falls (Minnesota's tallest waterfall)  in Grand Portage State Park.

Back at school on Monday we had a planned 100 day celebration!  It was actually day#94 but since I had 6 wonderful volunteers take time off for us, we went ahead with the festivities!

 The next few photos are some of the stations just waiting for the k kids!

 Here's Ms. Harden holding our 100 day hats!

 We had 9 stations with a 100 theme!

The snack area was a 100 day donut and kit kat "cake"...

 100 licks on a sucker station...

 100 Steps...(each kid ended up somewhere different in the school! )

 

 100 Zeroes... this is called a googal!

 Give me 5... counting to 100 by 5s!

 And 100 dots on a dalmation!

 This day only happens with volunteers! We are so lucky to have you!

We had another snowday on Tueday

This Great Girl brought Goldfish for our Gg snack on Wednesday! 

Ms. Harden had been busy teaching us about measurement.
This week we're comparing volume and capacity! 

Of course the kids chose these activities at choice time! 

We've also a Valentine's discovery table up and running.. 

Our 100 station is tons of fun, too!

One of tybe activities here is to place 100 marbles on the shower mat!
