I just LOVE this theme
(even though I thoroughly enjoy winter!)
If you ask me sometime, I can share the story with you about how this tradition began in my classroom 27 years ago!

At choice the kids are still working on their coconut tree designs!
We played a game called
"GET ON MY BOAT!"
or
"GET OFF MY BOAT!"
(depending on the numbers drawn!)
The kiddo on the chair is the captain and has to fill his boat with the number drawn.
Sometimes we add sailors, sometimes we subtract!
