Hey, I'm (kind of) back in the hiking game!
We hiked a 2 mile course at Forestville State Park last Saturday...not too far but the first since getting my back "fixed!"
We love the candlelight ski/hike/snowshoe events held around the area. They are typically a family friendly and lovely event! Check out "Midwest candlelight events" on Google if you are interested!
💙
We began our week with the great book called The Land of Many Colors which was written by a class of preschoolers 20 years ago! The take away was it doesn't matter what color we are,
it's the heart that matters!
As usual the shiny bag had the most votes so we opened it and found....CAT FOOD! Only too bad for us because the plain bag had M&Ms!
After the kiddos handled their disappointment, I asked them what lesson we could learn from this. After everyone repeated "It doesn't matter what you look like on the outside, the inside is what matters" we shared the M&Ms anyway because I'm not a monster! Haha!
