2023 Week 24 :America the Beautiful and SNOW DAYS!

Well, that was an interesting week!

It cracks me up to see how high that drift is!

Here are the highlights from Tuesday and half of Friday (we've more fun and learning planned for the afternoon but it is after I post):

We created these cutie patootie eagles are we learned about one of our National Symbols...

These patriotic hearts were a 2 day project!
They turned out really nice!

Can you spy the eagles looking at us?
Those were Tuesday afternoon's project as we learned more about this majestic bird!

The birthday party center is one busy place!

On Friday we were able to squeeze in a guided drawing of an eagle...this was a tough one!
The kids did a great job though!

2023 Week 23 Valentines!

One last birthday greeting came in this week...

Haha!  I feel like I've been seen!

The kids' crayons were looking a little worse for the wear so we broke out the new ones you sent last fall.
I just love the organizational skills k kids can have!

On Monday we created a valentine for YOU!

Plus our journals have been full of loving words!

Here we are on Tuesday with our Valentines Day loot!
Thank you for all the chocolate and flowers and gifts~
you really are the best!

Wednesday's centers were Valentine themed!
We just loved the playdough!

We finally broke out the geoboards!
For centers we duplicated what we saw...

Station three was counting by 5s and heart stamps...

Piper's mom helped with the sound it out station...

and finally our last station was practicing sight words in sugar sprinkles!

Remember the geoboards from centers?
Free play means they can design whatever their little hearts desire! Gorgeous work!

We finally got around to the finale of our Community Helpers and Occupations Social Studies unit where the kids got to draw and write about their hopes and dreams for the future!  I just love this one!

I just love it when the kids ask to have pictures taken at choice time!

Here is a sneak peek at our newest learning stations:
