What a lovely week we had learning about leaves and owls!

Last Friday our Social Studies topic was "Friends"

Science this week was "What Parts Do Plants Have?"
The kiddos drew their own plants:
My son, Lee, is the kitchen manager at Moosejaw in Wisconsin Dells. Every year he makes sure we all get Mmmmmmoose hats for the letter Mm!
We've been doing a bit of journaling which we bind into a Lucky Duck book for the kids to share at home.
Here they are writing about leaves falling down on any noun they could think of and draw!
Yep, we learn the parts of speech beginning with nouns.

On Tuesday we made a leaf to decorate our room.
Yay! We are half way done with our romp through the alphabet!
We've also been practicing recognizing numerals during morning meeting. It's always fun to practice together!
Our newest discovery table is Leaves and Seeds!
