Whew! I made it out of the Superior National Forest last weekend. Our tent heater didn't work on the second night but I was prepared for the worst so I stayed somewhat comfortable wearing all my winter gear!
It really was a lovely (meaning not too much change in elevation) hike for a change.
Only 71 miles to go out of the 325 mile long Superior Hiking Trail!
This week in K we began our Fire Safety unit.
Thank you for checking off the items in the fire safety homework this week. Even I use this week to double check all the smoke/carbon monoxide detectors in our old brick farmhouse.
Our Social Studies topic was Leaders at Home and School. I just LOVE their drawings!

What a fun and tasty lesson!
Roots, stems, leaves, flowers, seeds, and fruit are all delicious !
