2024 Week 14 Penguins and Polar Bears!

I hope your Thanksgiving was delicious and filled with memories!

My 5 year old Granddaughter,  Ashland, created these yummy turkeys!
Here is a lovely shot of our local family! Lee and Ashland drove over from Baraboo.

This first week in December we had new stations and a few new toys to play with! These are a wintery version of magnatiles.

The discovery table has all sorts of wintery toys!
There are new Polar Animals Legos!

The ever growing igloo (thank you for sending the bottom 1/3 of gallon jugs) and cute Gingerbread houses cover up 15, yes FIFTEEN,  boxes for our December fun!

The penguin station is full of fun and learning!

And so is the Polar Bear table!

We are getting ready for Gingerbread week coming up next week!

The Gingerbread Bakery is Open for business!

On Tuesday we learned about Polar Bears and began step one of our polar bear project! We will need to paint a snowy scene for them and do a little writing before we get them in the hallway.

We recorded what we knew about those big beautiful bears with a Can*Have*Are chart.

We have begun independent reading right after lunch. Wow! We've some good readers already!

We are already reading our morning seat work every day.

What a fun way to practice counting by 10s!

In Reading Language Arts we are listening to where we hear sounds.
We also love reading about our themes.

On Monday we learned about and created these cutie patootie penguins! We wrote about our fictional penguins using adjectives.
