I would like to introduce you to Ms.Harcey, our new student teacher!
She is a WSU education major who is nearly ready to get a classroom of her own! We are lucky to have her until the beginning of May. Welcome, Ms.H! You are already knocking our socks off!
❤️🧦❤️
And here we are:
At the beach!
(Snorkeling gear is washed and disinfected before and after each use!)
These are some of the new learning stations we have around the room:
One of our first themes was Chicka Chicka Boom Boom and these great coconut trees with one more practice with our last names:
We used these cuties to practice numbers in the teens, both recognizing the numerals and understanding how to make the teen (10+3=13 for example)
Did you know their blood was blue?
Amazing!
Wednesday's centers included:
Station 1
Distinguishing /s/ and /sh/ with Jill and SHARKS!
Brain Break choice
Read the Room
Station 5
STEM Challenge
Build a coconut tree using 10 blocks and 5 popsicle sticks to see how many ABC foam letters it can hold.
The record this year:
Ray's structure with 39!
Now that Ms.Harcey is with us, we are able to do more journaling!
This one is a fun page as the kids pretend to explore the ocean...
