Well, we did it!
Our first week was AMAZING!
We really accomplished a lot in 4 short days.
We graphed the number of boys and girls in our class.
We did have plenty of choice time AFTER our work was done!
LOVE LOVE LOVE this kissing hand project!
We also broke out our new supplie
s to create this cutie patotie raccoon
like the character in our story, The Kissing Hand!
Everyday the leader is in charge of many things including the morning message! Bonus, they get to bring it home at the end of the day!
For the 5th year running, our class participates in
ABCs Across America.
We create 26 letters (all the same letter),
this year S for Smores!,
and send them to other schools across the country.
Very soon we will be receiving
their letters to complete our collection.
It is so exciting to get mail!
More working pics...
We did a lot of name practice this week.
Thanks for continuing to practice at home.
Ms.G will be with us most afternoons from 2-3 to help with projects and centers...yay us!
Most mornings the kids will have table activities until announcements are over.
Here the green table is discovering pattern blocks...
The yellow team is sorting bears and buttons...
and the red team is playing with pattern blocks...
I really try to get art projects in weekly.
This lesson was on using the droppers and watching as the colors spread and blended together creating more colors!
I want you to know how much I appreciate all your hard work helping your k kid be ready for school.
Enjoy our gift to you!
Friday morning we practiced our first switch of tables as we work on skills needed to begin centers next week.
We solved puzzles...
build with blocks...
created with playdo...
We cleaned up and switched to a new table and began all over again!
Hip Hip Hooray!
We had our first birthday celebration!
