It's been a great roller coaster ride!

We also had new morning challenges including: mitten counting by 5s...

On Monday we turned our classroom into a beach! Here's a few choice time photos, stay tuned for more beachy fun!
This lovely lady is our new student teacher from Winona State. Josie Harden will be with us through the beginning of May!
Here's a little write up about her:
"Hello Parents/guardians! My name is Josie Harden and I am going to be student teaching in Mrs. O’Duggan’s classroom until May 8th. I am 21 years old and will graduate in May with a degree in Elementary Education with an Early Childhood Emphasis. I grew up in the Rochester, MN area and went to Byron High School. I currently live in Winona Minnesota with my boyfriend and two cats. I enjoy spending my free time crewing for a hot air balloon, being with family and friends, exploring the outdoors, and doing photography. I am looking forward to working with and getting to know your children."
In this photo Ms. Harden is helping with adjectives.
This smartie built a castle with the 3D shapes we've been learning about this week!

These ocean animals are painted with watercolor in droppers...
The sea turtles and sea horses turned out lovely!
Ms.Harden read Rainbow Fish and I read Big Al, then we compared and contrasted the story with a nifty little venn diagram!
Thursday's centers included:
Shark jello!
First we built the habitat... the ocean floor was graham crackers, the water was blue jello, and the waves were whipped topping and the sharks were gummies!
This is teamwork trying to get the whipped topping to work!
A beautiful dessert! Strangely satisfying!
Ms. Amy's table was shark addition...
The brain break table was water toys and/ or playdo!
Mary Bronk helped us out at the shark measurement station. She's filling her time by helping us before heading back to college!
