I was lucky to drive to Indianapolis during MEA weekend to see my Indiana family! This is my oldest daughter, Shae, and her beautiful family: her husband, Chris and my grandbabies! Wren-7, Calla-5, Crusoe-4, and Pia-2!
Shae and her in-laws host a huge and beautiful neighborhood Halloween party so we popped over to 'help' and take lovely photos.
Shae's Lewiston friend since kindergarten stopped in for the evening... what fun!
We made halloween treats and
potato soup!
Plus there was bubbles!
On the way home I always stop to see my son, Lee in Wisconsin Dells!
He is in a relationship with a lovely lady and I finally got to meet her 4 kids. So, pumpkin patch here we come!
It's nice to see him flourishing in the role of caregiver!
Okay okay enough about me....
Back at school on Monday, this wonderful fella brought wafer cookies for our Ww snack...
We began a walking water experiment...
But... it didn't work here at school! Failure is okay and we talked about why the water began to transfer but quit after an hour. The obvious answer was I used nice paper towels at home as wicks but at school all we could find was poor quality napkins. They dried out. Lesson learned.
We are so lucky to have 2 St.Mary's students join us for 2 hours a day on Monday, Wednesday, Friday mornings. Ms.Wallrich is helping to make our letter x day x-ray so they'd be dry tomorrow....
And Ms. Seifert is overseeing making our Wicked Witch melt away!
We created these last week but I just got them up on the hallway. They are so wonderfully individual!
I had dental surgery on Tuesday so the kiddos had Mrs.Olson as a sub. I got home around noon and took a nap with my pup, Loki. Whew, glad that day is over!
