2021 April Week 1

Unless our weather gets SUPER WET

we will NOT require boots for recess!

YAY!!!!!

Your child MAY bring them but they are NOT required.

Hope you all had a lovely Spring Break!

I was lucky enough to drive to Indianapolis (with a stop in Baraboo!) with my 5th child and her fiance' to my son and then my oldest daughter's home to see my 5 grandchildren!  Sorcha wanted to invite them to her October 2022 wedding as flower girls and ring bearers!  There was confetti for days!

Here's some of the fun and educational activities we've been working on since our last blog post:

We wrote about bunnies focusing on parts of a sentence:

We did a science page about
oviparous and non-oviparous
(or vivparous) animals
egg layers or not

We had a whole week of WEATHER!!!
We looked at the wind, clouds, and rain!

These are 2 GORGEOUS rainbow family projects!
They are lonely though...
please send yours in as soon as you can!

We sorted those tough letter teams:

Easter Fun!

Weren't these the cutest?

We wrapped up some season work...

These chickies are adorable!

And the Bunnies too!

Choice time fun!

Hope your child enjoyed these
cutie patootie Easter Smores!

Such pretty umbrella art!

We read Thundercake by Patricia Paloco. It's about a young girl who is afraid of storms and her special grandma who shows her how brave she really is!

We then made Kindergarten 1 2 3 Thundercake!  I sent home the recipe in Friday's homework folder.   Yummy!

We also learned about the Water Cycle with a fun game, several YouTube videos,  and this fun "cloud" experiment...

We journaled like scientists to record how many drops of water our cloud could hold before it rained!
