January Week 2

 What an amazing week!

Our themes were mittens and winter and snow! Some very timely topics!

We used our mittens to count by 2s...an upcoming assessed skill!  What a fun way to review! See the little book every one brought home to practice.

We read several versions of The Mitten then made a character map and a Venn Diagram to compare and contrast the characters and events.

We measured mittens with different objects...

Oh, my favorite!  Aren't these chalk snowman drawings gorgeous!

We wrote about what our snowman might do at night using our imagination!

We had a rainbow blizzard in our room to help us count by 2s...

We made these cutie patootie mittens as an art project.

Centers look different this year.Due to Covid we aren't able to share manipulatives whole group but we are making it work.  This one was to review beginning and ending sounds.

We've been lucky to have many hands on activities at circle time!  Here's another ending sound review...

This was a choice time activity!
We mixed up a big batch of artifical snow this week!   We then made our own individual experiments!  What fun!
