On Monday we began preparations for our Dragon Parade by creating our individual sections.

 Our Good Luck Dragon!

We have a few new stations around the room to celebrate the Year of the Ram!

We also began our independent reading time with our book boxes.  Each child needs to record at least 1 book a day.  Most have recorded 10 by the end of the week!
Awesome readers!

Tuesday afternoon our centers included:
Counting by 10 on our lucky envelopes...

Writing the Chinese New Year Animals...

Looking at the difference between American Culture and Chinese Culture...

And our favorite... READ THE ROOM!
This one was ten frames Chinese Zodiac Animals.

Wednesday's new morning challenges were:
Panda zyx order (yep, backwards!)

Chinese New Year Animal Puzzles...

And Panda Number line segment from 36-50 ordering!

We have been using our journals all year to do guided drawing exerises.  Now we have added word lists as well!

Wednesday's Gg snack was Graham Crackers!
It was also Para Appreciation Week!
We couldn't do half of what we do without the help of Mrs. Benke, Mrs. Sobek, Ms. Jone, and Mrs. Sauers!
THANK YOU!!!!

And here is Mrs. Benke overseeing our fan painting area.

My station was also painting plum blossoms for our Chinese lanterns!

 Gorgeous!

Thursday's switch-a-roo day included the following projects:
Making Chinese noodles in our room...
 (with fortune cookies!)
and chopsticks!

Mrs. Kalmes' project was this cute panda!

And we painted these beautiful Chinese calligraphy hangings with Mrs. Pilger!

Finally it was time for the dragon parade!
