2022 Week 25 Transportation

 Hey, I know these characters!

We held a Spring Craftapooloza on Monday after school.

We created and laughed and just enjoyed each others' company!

Our theme this week was a super fun unit on transportation!

Every year I bust out my own children's skatepark for the k kids to play with.  Wow! That's one Christmas gift that keeps on giving as the little boy I bought it for is 34 now with 2 kids of his own!

 


Ms.S had the kiddos create these mischievous little leprechauns!  








Ms. S also had small groups of students do this fun graphing activity. We got to talk about data that we didn't need as there were purple cars that we did not graph.

Here is one of our mixed up sentences from this week:

During Morning Meeting we put this train together through 50 cars. Then at choice time these smarties finished it all the way to 100! Wowza!


Wednesday's snack was 
JJJJJJelly Beans brought by JJJJJillion!

Choice time is a time for creating!

Tuesday's centers included: 
Short i words with Skittle for the dots on the i!

We began our transportation unit with a fun little sorting activity...


Puzzle Time!

Oh the discovery table is so much fun filled with diggers and dumpers and black beans!


 Due to our short week, Thursday's transportation centers (round 2) will not be posted until next week.

2022 Week 24 Dr. Seuss Read Across America!

💜💙💚Spring has sprung?  💜💙💚

This week is Read-Across-America Week!

I always begin this celebration of Dr.Seuss with some delicious "green eggs and ham!"

But first we had to wrap up
AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL
with these stately 
Lady Liberties!





We are also celebrating Dr. Seuss's birthday with some fun birthday party items at the dramatic play area.

Oh, I love my job!
I received this surprise gift this week!
Now I NEED to go to that bakery!

Each day this week we focused on a Dr. Seuss book.
There's a Wocket in my Pocket was a fun one with the cutie patootie wockets in kids' pockets!
 

  

We finally got to eat those Green Eggs and Ham little candy treats!





We are learning about OCCUPATIONS!
I just love their Hopes and Dreams!

Tuesday's centers included:
Rainbow Eggs and Ham!
The kiddos made their own to eat when they cooled...
This team finished early so they worked on bonuses on the floor waiting for their "eggs" to cool!

Ms. S's table was ways to make 10
with The Cat in the Hat...


Mrs. Sauers' table was addition with counting on and Thing 1 and Thing 2...


Ms. Martinez assisted with color words

The independent station was an
Occupations Read the Room activity...

My station was our Science for the week... parts work together. 
We created a working vehicle with skewers, cups, and cardboard! 
 


We had a Thing 1 and Thing 2 Read the Room counting by 2s activity...




We sure had fun with our Dr Seuss books!
