2022 Week 10 Outer Space!

We are OUT OF THIS WORLD with fun and learning in Kindergarten this week!

But first...

Thank you for the adorable family project turkeys!

They are almost all here!

(photo taken on Thursday)

We have another 100 Club Kiddo!!!!

Centers on Wednesday included these 5 stations:
1. Pokey Pin Outer Space Words!
The kids POKE the letters with a pin that is stored on a special thematic eraser. In this case, a little rocket ship!  Then they hold their page up to the light to see if they can see the holes light up!

2. Comparing numbers with stars!

3. Galaxy Play Dough!
It is made with 2 cups of glitter and it was AWESOME!

4. Robot Reading!
CVC words

5. Stamping Outer Space Beginning Sounds!

We had our first lesson on the letters in our LAST NAMES with these cool rocket ships!
Printing last names are a 2nd quarter skill coming up quickly!

Here are a few of our new learning areas....

Our science lesson was a hit!
The kiddos did great showing me with illustrations what living things need.

We read about constellations and then created our own for a very sparkly lucky duck book!

Haha!  This is me!  Well, at least I am remembered in the stars!

And (BEST DAY EVER!!!) we learned how to draw stars!
We tell a little story in order to draw a star without using the template.  "Draw a mountain,  cross the mountain,  cross it again,  go back home" Taadaadaadaa! It works!

2022 Week 9 Scarecrows and Candy Corn!

Whooooo Hooooo!

We have 3 more members of the 100 Club!

When kids count to 100 without any errors they get to throw the confetti as we sing "Happy 100 Counting to You!"

Good job, Kiddos!

Science this week is sorting
Living and Nonliving...

Our theme this week was
scarecrows and candy corn!

Page down for the making of these
cutie patootie scarecrows...

Now that we have wrapped up
our letter of the day series,
we are moving on to
lots of reading strategies.
One of the most basic is
spotting the differences
between letters, numbers,
words, and sentences.
We made this together to show off
our skills!

Choice time creativity!

If a kiddo asks for a photo of their structure and I am not busy with helping others get caught up or assessing I am always glad to oblige!

Wednesday's centers included these 5 stations:
1. Painting scarecrows...

2. Sight word scarecrow game

3. Pattern block autumn pictures...

4. Beginning sounds fall stickers...

I am a science geek and am not ashamed to admit it!
