This week in kindergarten we began our
ABC Letter of the Day series!
I typically do not do a new letter on Fridays (review day),so then your k kid would not have homework for the weekend, however with our new reading series we had to double down and whip through the ABCs faster this year. Do what you can and no worries!
We sure are having fun adding a new page to our ABC book everyday!
We did our first journaling experience on Friday.
We drew and wrote about an animal that
Brown Bear might see!
We will bind our pages together to create a lucky duck book that the kids will take turns sharing at home. Please return them the next day for the next child to take home for the night! Thanks!
We also spend an afternoon cutting out a BIG BEAUTIFUL BEAR that we will paint and hang in the hallway. All in all, the kids have great cutting skills this year!
These kiddos are playing a game that we learned how to play whole group:
"Little Bear"
We practiced colors (including gray and brown, two tough ones this year) and waiting for our turn!
After one of our practice fire drills, we took some time to just play outside!
We played a bus game!
On Wednesday we had our first ever
CENTERS!
The kids rotate through 4 learning stations!
What fun!
My station was to sort and count M and Ms for our Brown Bear theme:
Station 2 was to practice our names on rainbow scratch paper:
Station 3 was a challenge to build with playdough and buttons:
Station 4 was to place bears on BIG letters:
Tuesday we read, sang, and created these ALLIGATOR purses that held things that begin with Aa:
Everyday the k kids have an interactive part on our Morning Message:
We are quickly picking through the alphabet!
This is us creating the first page in our ABC book:
Last Friday we finished the Kissing Hand theme by creating these cutie patootie racoons:
If you do not see your child pictured it is because they do not have to have their photo taken with any project. It is voluntary!
