2022 Week 16 Polar Express, Hot Cocoa Bar, and Pajama Party!

Wowza!

What a whirlwind of a few days before Winter break!

On Wednesday we had holiday themed centers~
The playdough station was fun as the kids created Christmas trees!

I love how each tree is an individual as the kiddo who created it!

Station 2 was to build holiday shapes with pattern blocks.
Piper's mom helped by reviewing shapes with the k kids...

At station 3, Kara's mom helped us review beginning sounds...

At station 4, Kara's dad helped with recording teens...

At station 5 the kids had choices.
They could sort and categorize a big, old box of Christmas ornaments
or
the could build a Christmas tree using stacking cups!

Earlier in the day, and because of the winter storm bearing down on us, we had our Hot Cocoa Bar on Wednesday instead of Thursday!
Zeke's mom lent a hand helping kiddos get to their seats without much spilling, opening up candy canes (WHY are they so hard to open?), and handing out the cookie trains the kids made earlier.

All week we practiced the
SANTA song!

and we made our own!

Ohh, this is a very nice way to practice color words!

We created these cutie patootie Polar Express trains!

Here we are making the hot cocoa first thing in the morning on Wednesday...

Here are some shots from around the room...

The Christmas Card Shop was opened for just this week but it sure was a busy station!

Each day at Snack Time we have YouTube review time where we revisit all skills while we sip our milk and nibble on our snacks.  We also take time to have a little fun...this was the reindeer pokey! So cute!

This learning station had us using 9volt batteries to light up Christmas lights!  It's a fun introduction to using energy!

This is one of my favorite Christmas crafts!

I am saving them for the Memory Books we will send home at the end of the year.

Thank you for all the lovely and thoughtful gifts!
You are so generous!
