After our workshop day during Fall break, my hubby and I continued our quest to tick off sections backpacking on the Superior Hiking Trail. It is 326 miles from the Wisconsin/Minnesota border all they way across the ridges above Lake Superior, up to the Minnesota/Canadian border.
Get this...we've only 25 miles left! It has taken us 11 years (we'll probably finish next Fall)
He goes to be in the forest, I go so I can spend time IN the Lake!
Home for the weekend is almost always primitive camping near Finland, MN. Happy week before Halloween!
Here are a few photos of the short week for MEA break:
We wrapped up Parts Of A Plant by EATING those parts!
Roots, stem, leaves, flowers, fruit, seeds!
What fun!
Of course -at family hats were a nice project!
We do many whole group games and puzzles...

The kids have been beading bracelets and necklaces and creating "maracas"
I've got so many great helpers!
On Thursday morning the kids designed a spider for our mini science unit about arachnids...
