Week 15 Letter Nn, sound /n/, star word 'like', and GINGERBREAD!

As you probably heard, our 11 year old Samoyed, Pippin, passed away last weekend.
Yes, I  have had some tears, but also laughs at remembering his craziness!

Not much time for sadness THIS week...my FAVORITE week of the whole year....GINGERBREAD WEEK!!!!
We began with new morning challenges:
Gingerbread number/object match...


Gingerbread ABC order...



Gingerbread numeric order...


Our morning message even looked like gingerbread...mmmm!
Monday afternoon we created these HUGE GINGERBREAD PEOPLE!  We will be decorating the gym with them...

The Christmas Bake Shoppe is still a hot item at choice time...
Blocks and building are fun, too!
Mrs. Sauers works with us every afternoon... I usually give her fun, creative activities that require small groups to be successful!
Here are the completed snowpeople she worked on last week with the kiddos...adorable!


A NEW play area...the GINGERBREAD village!

Are ready for this?  On Tuesday we actually MADE gingerbread cookies right in our classroom!
MMMMM...the aroma was delightful!




All that's left is the dishes and waiting....

There is no evening concert for K.

We will have a switch-a-roo day on Wednesday as we create your Christmas surprises.  
SHHHH!  Don't ask, we won't tell!

Friday afternoon we will assess for midquarter skills.
Be looking for midquarter reports coming home soon!
