Week 34 Letter Yy, star word 'she', Farm and Pets, and Our HOE DOWN!

Oh my goodness!
What an AROMATIC week we had!
For two days the bread machine had the delicious aroma of fresh baked bread wafting through our room and down the hallway!

MMMMMM....it looks as good as it smells!

We also had new morning challenges this week:
Little Red Hen Sentences...

Counting By 2s Veggies...

And Veggie Word Matching...

Tuesday's Hoe Down was a success!

We went to Mrs. Pilger's room to make butter and Mrs. Kalmes' room to make ice cream!
While the k kids were gone, we made MORE bread with Mrs. Pilger and Mrs. Kalmes' kids.  And here they are!

In the afternoon we went outside to enjoy our bounty!
Rod brought homemade raspberry jam...MMMMM!

After we finished and cleaned up, we headed to the playground for some long overdue PLAY time!

Wednesday's Yy snack was Yogurt covered raisins!

To wrap up our farm unit we created these adorable hens...

Our math unit is all about clocks and time.
Each k kid got a little clock to take home
and experiment with.
Ask your kiddo to set an o'clock or 'thirty' time for you!

A bittersweet moment happened on Wednesday as we created our FINAL LUCKY DUCK book of the year!
It is called Tops and Bottoms and is about where vegetables grow.

We also began our May Day baskets.
Be sure to be surprised if one shows up on your door!

Thursday's centers included:
Hamster Here and There
(sounding out pet shop words)

Cool Cat Listening for the /c/ sound

Dogs love bones subtrafraction...
(with REAL dog bones!)

Time to Feed the Dog...
(telling time)

Friday morning we had new morning challenges:

Telling Time to the Hour...
