2021 January Week 4

 Whoo Hoo!
Let's celebrate these kiddos
and all kiddos who are working toward the IMPORTANT work of counting to 100 in Kindergarten!
CONGRATS!

Here are a few shots from the afternoon of our
 BEACH DRESS UP day!
I did bring in fruit cups and juice boxes
chocolate seashells and fruit snacks
(quarantined since last week)
to make our snack time special!
Add a pretty skewer and a little umbrella and we've got a fancy beach snack!

What fun videos!

Once again the order of our pictures is goofy!
On Tuesday we had a "crabby" day!
No, not THAT kind of crabby! Haha!
We learned about hermit crabs and other types of crustaceans.  I always love a good handprint project and I sure appreciated them as a parent so look for your child's to come home soon!

We did a lot of journaling this week with Mrs. Sauers' help!
Thursday was bubble day in here!
We watched some bubble science, played with bubbles, painted with bubbles, and wrote about bubbles!

Friday our science topic was "What Makes Heat?"
We played 20 questions
(kindergarten style)
to guess objects that produce heat and light.
What fun!

In Library Ms.Kay read a fun story about Extra Yarn and then the kiddos "knit" a sweater for their little animal!  Soooo cute!

Here is more bubble painting photos...

 and more bubble playing photos!

Good team work!

A House For Hermit Crab is a fun book that introduced us to many sea animals.
We then made a wax resist watercolor painting and wrote about our ocean friends!

We also finished our
CHICKA CHICKA
Rhyme Time journal!

Wednesday was OCTOPUS day!

We learned many things about these cephalepods who are in the mollusk family (related to snails!)
We learned how smart they are!

More fun photos!
