2022 Week 17 Mittens and Snow

What a wonderful wintery week we had!
We learned one of the most important kindergarten skills: how to cut paper snowflakes!

The family projects are rolling in and looking fantastic!
If you haven't sent your family's in yet, please do so as soon as you can!

During centers on Tuesday we honed our counting by 2s skills with this lovely blizzard!

Mrs. Sauer's station was ways to make 10...

Ms. Stritchko is our new student teacher!
She will be sending an "All About Me" page on Tuesday so you can learn more about this hardworking and thinking fast on her feet lady!
Fast fact: we are both from Sparta WI!
Her first station to oversee was beginning and ending sounds....

Ms. Martinez, our new para, helped with the snowflake soup station! What fun!

While at my station the kiddos created these adorable snowpeople!

This is a bonus station where we dug through the "snow" to find sight words!

Oh boy!  It's not wintertime until we have a "snowball fight" in the classroom!  The kids had to read the words printed on the snowball and then they could THROW it...actually THROW PAPER!... in our room!

Wednesday was MITTEN Day!
This was a fun activity where we had to write with our mittens ON, then with our mittens on and with our other hand, then with our mittens on other hand and with our eyes shut!
What a hoot!

Gosh, we have sooo much fun!
And we learned that mistakes can be fun, too!

We created these beauties to use at centers on Thursday.

We wrote our friends' names...

We used our challenge activities with Ms. S. guiding us...

Mrs. Sauers helped with addition review...

I had the geoband station...

and Mrs. Flathers helped at the ordinal number station...
(1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc)
