Happy spring-y weather!
This week in K we learned a lot about rabbits and bunnies!
We began by finding 100 tiny rabbits hidden around the room! What fun! Page down for more photos of our searching and 100 chart fun...
These sensory bags have been a hit for young and old in our room!
Ms. Harcey worked with the kids to create a
CAN*HAVE*ARE chart all about RABBITS:
Here we are finding and placing the 100 bunnies on the mini 100 chart...
This guy found the 100 rabbit!
The kids brought their bunnies to school or borrowed mine for days of bunny fun!
Mostly we worked on self control (how a bunny should behave during group time, work time, choice time) but we also wrote about our bunnies and played some fun games with them!
We created these cutie patooties on Monday:
This is the life!
Bunnies at school!
The rainbow family projects are looking great!
There is still time if you haven't sent yours in yet.
On Tuesday we had CHICKIE day!
These adorable little peeps are the best!
The kids also wrote a describing sentence about their little fluffy fella!
We also learned that chicks aren't the only ones that come from an egg:
Just before Wednesday's centers the kids got to hide chocolate eggs!
During rest time we kept very quiet so as not to awaken the baby axolotl!
Wedneday's centers included:
Station 1
Making bunny baskets with me...
Station 2
Pokey Pin Spring Style...
Station 3 with Jill
Adding carrots to find the sum...
Station 4 with Ms. Harcey
Writing words with Ms. Harcey...
And Station 5
Easter Playdough!
We played this punctuation game...
Here is the egg symmetry book we made...
This is the journal pages from our bunny observations...
