Surprise!
A super early blog post as I am flying to Indianapolis early Thursay morning to take my 13 year granddaughter to see Hamilton this weekend~
I am so excited!
It's all she wanted for her 13th birthday and my daughter made it happen: airfare, musical tickets, and best yet, IT'S a SURPRISE!
I didn't spill the beans for a change..haha!
Here is our Social Studies station for this week:
And here is a Thanksgiving leftover!
What a nice list the kids generated.
We just opened my favorite dramatic play area:
The Gingerbread Bakery!
Page down for more photos!
Our igloo is coming along nicely.
Thank you for the milk jugs. Please keep sending them in if you can.
Tuesday's theme was polar bears!
The kids LOVE the gingerbread house to rest and play in!
Here are the bakery photos...
Another super fun area is the
Gingerbread Village...
More bakery before the kids played in it.
They really do a nice job of putting everything back.
Monday night's shenanigans with Ms. Kay and Ms.Sand! It's our yearly ringing the bells date!
More village...
Science this week was
Things in the Sky.
After the kids made a list with me,
we categorized the items by Day/Night/Both and
Human made/Natural.
Oh this is fun!
The leader gets to open the Advent Calendar each day and eat the little bit of chocolate under the door!
Wednesday's centers included:
Station 1 Stem Challenge
Build a Snow Cave for our polar bears
(yes, the kids got to keep them)
The kids had to draw their design....
Station 2: Polar Bear Color Word Hunt
More caves...
Station 3: Penguin Addition
