2025 Week 15 Gingerbread!!!

I had an amazing time in Indianapolis!!! Here I am with my sweet Granddaughter,  Calla, just before we had our date to see Hamilton!

We had the time of our lives!
Here are all my Indianapolis grandchildren!

And me and Shae, my firstborn!  How do I have a 41 year old daugheter already!  Yikes!

Then back at home,  we began my favorite week in Kindergarten...GINGERBREAD WEEK!

This is us at milk break
Aka YouTube review time.
We try to end with a movement activity.
This is Danny Go teaching us the Gingerbread Cookie Dance!

We made these ornaments Thursday morning during seat work.
What fun!

We are also working on a new lucky duck book called Christmas Cookie Addition.

Ms.Heier is helping the kids create a lovely gingerbread necklace that Jasper's family ordered in for us.

In centers on Wednesday we had 4 Gingerbread stations:
Gingerbread Playdough
(thanks for the new playdough, Milo and Emma!)

Station 2
Gingerbread Characters
Pokey Pin

Station 3
Gingerbread Friends
Read The Room

And Station 4
-an Family
With the Gingerbread man

These next photos are in reverse order!
Cookie eating all the way back to mixing the dough! Haha!
Our early release on Tuesday and late start on Wednesday created a bit of a rush in mixing up,  rolling out, baking,  decorating,  and eating our Gingerbread Men but we pulled it off!
And, oh, the aroma in our room!!!!

Here are a few of the finished projects before they got gobbled up!

This is the decorating step...

We actually baked our cookies right in a toaster oven!
We didn't peek though!

This is the cut out cookie dough waiting to be baked.
Each child received a large scoop to roll out.

And that's the backwards process!
Delicious!

Aren't these adorable?
We used them for 3 different activities!

On Monday we finished our penguin unit by creating these cutie patootie penguins for the hallway! Page down for individual photos...

This learning station was so much fun!

On Tuesday we mixed up the dough but had to wait until Wednesday to roll it out, bake, decorate, and finally eat it!

Here we are as we finished our Gingerbread friends...

These are the penguins from above post!
