Week 32 MudDay Monday, Worms, Letter Ww, Clocks

You know it's going to be
THE BEST WEEK EVER
in Kindergarten when we begin
Monday with a MUDDAY!
 Yep, we painted with mud,
drew with mud,
and created a journal page with mud!

Here we are adding detail to the MUD BOOK.

These are our mud journal pages.
Be looking for the lucky ducky book coming home SOON!
On Tuesday we learned about WORMS...
OH DEAR!
It really doesn't get any better than this!
The only problem is
(and only upper Midwest readers will understand)
we could not bring in a worm for homework
(yes, this is usually a homework assignment in April)
because our lawns and gardens are still carpeted with
SNOW!
But did that stop us? Oh Noooo!
We read about worms, painted a picture of worms,
and ATE WORMS!
Thanks, Justin, for the Gummy Worms!

We listened to Diary of A Worm.
You can listened, too ----->Diary of Worm on YouTube

Centers on Tuesday....
Counting DIMES....

How Many Sounds?

Finding the Sum! Wow!

Who's in the Barn?
Farm Vocabulary

We tried to think Spring-y thoughts this week.
One activity was to create a
ROCKIN' ROBIN!
Here we are dying our robins' wings and tummies...

And here is our finished project....CUTE!

Remember when I said it was the BEST WEEK EVER?
Well, it got even better!
Mrs. Kalmes' invited us in to see a
little lamb and bunny that were visiting her class!

Yep, TOTALLY AWESOME!!!!

We also planted seeds!
This was a center on Thursday...

We cannot wait to see what our beans and peas look like!

When we finished planting,
we took a brain break and read some of our wonderful farm books!

Another center was BAA BAA Color Sheep...

This one was GET PIGGY TO THE PEN
where the kiddos wrote farm words in each puddle.

Here is another money counting center...
this time it was NICKELS!!!!
A bit harder but we did it!

Oh, YES!  The kids haven't had a searching center for awhile!
Here they are looking for Follow Along Geese
and recording what numbers come next in a series....

Our morning challenges included:
Sorting out all those coins we used in our Math lessons last week!

We had a preview of time...
(to the hour...we are working on the o'clocks)

Our last morning challenge was
SEASONS!
Winter Spring Summer and Fall!

Oh, here are a couple kiddos playing with "worms"...
Remember? BEST WEEK EVER!

Here are a few charts we created earlier in the week:
We graphed our favorite color....
and interpreted the data !

The rainbow homework looks so lovely!
Thanks for sending them in so quickly!

Here is a big version of the little one we did last week
during centers...what a fun way to depict sums to 10!

And finally,
a RAINBOW Can/Have/Are Chart!
So we are going to have a tough time topping this week!
But let's try....
