2018 Week 25 Letter Dd, Dental Health and Dr. Seuss!

Here's our final farewell (?) to 2017-2018 wintery weather!
We drove up to the Apostle Islands to enjoy the opening of the ice road across Lake Superior!
I just LOVE WINTER!

The scenery was like out of a movie set!
 Monday began our Read-Across-America week!
We had pajama day and read in the hallway for 15 minutes!
We will do this everyday this week.

We wrapped up our American Symbols unit with these lovely lady liberties!

These smarties began the week by joining the 100s club!

We also had a birthday celebration!
One of our college field experience students, Ms. Becker, helped us with a tooth brushing project.

We created a lucky duck book about the tooth fairy.
Be warned, it is loaded with glitter!
(as every good tooth fairy should be!)

We also created these science pages on healthy
and not so healthy choices for our teeth.

 Tuesday's centers included:
Roll a word with Ms. G
(Welcome back!)

 Ending sounds...

 Tooth Fairy plus 2...

 and counting on teeth...

 Wednesday's new morning challenges included:
Dr. Seuss sentences...

 Oh, YUMMY!
We made these delicious GREEN EGGS AND HAM in class this year!
They are pretzels, white chocolate, and green M&Ms!

In Library on Wednesday we created WOCKETS with Ms. Krista's daughter and Ms. Kay and Ms. Manly!
How wonderful!

Thursday was our 111th day of school!
What a fun number!

Our Dr. Seuss station is up and running, including some pretty cool Truffula Trees!

We created these first, middle, and last name cats for the hallway!

Here's our Dr. Seuss book graph that we made with the books the kiddos brought in.
What fun!

 Good Reads...
Our science this week is living/nonliving.
With our special events this week,
we might have to wait to Monday.

 Thursday's centers included:

Fancy Feet Friday!

One of our wonderful students are moving!
We will miss her soooooo much.
She made these cutie patotie cat in the hat cupcakes as a going away gift for us!
Thank  you!

The school provided these scrumptious cookies for Dr. Seuss's birthday celebration!
