We began with many lovely family projects and the speeches that go with them!

Monday was Mm day so we Made Monsters

We had MMMMuffins for snack!
Tuesday brought new morning challenges:
Counting ant at a picnic...numbers to 10
ABC Order with Pillow ABCs....
ABC-abc match up with penguins...
do you see the letter Pp pattern with the morning challenges? We will end this round on Pp day!
Oh, Man! I forgot to give the kids their Mm Mustache on Mm day so we wore the Missing Mustaches on Nn (under our Noses) day!
We had NNNNutter Butter Cookies and Fig NNNNewtons!

Tuesday's centers were all about the letter Nn:
Name Practice on this Nifty paper....
We are working on One Capital letter and the rest lower case. We are also working on thinking about how big the lowercase letter is by asking ourselves if it is a monkey letter (with a tail that goes under the line like j,g,p,q,y)
or a big fat hen (like an a,c,e,i,m,n,o,r,s,u,v,w,x,z they just sit on the line, not over or under)
or a giraffe (like b,d,f,h,k,l,t...they stretch all the way up to the top of the line...t is a baby giraffe as it goes up part way)

And an all time favorite, the Great Number Race!
On Wednesday we had OOOOranges!
I gave the kiddos little tiny owl picks that some put in their orange...how adorable is that?
We made and painted Owls!

We painted pumpkins without ORANGE PAINT!
What!!!
Yep, a little color mixing magic and we were able to make orange magically appear by mixing red and yellow!
We had Premium Popcorn for snack!

Here we are practicing one of the 3 safety drills...this is the lock down. The kids did great on all three:
Fire Drill, Lock Down, and Severe Weather drill!
Thursday's centers included:
Pete the Cat color words ...we used jewels to mark the letters!
Then we crossed off the color we made...

And a Pete the Cat art project with Mrs.Sauers in the lead...
